Heather & Julian are getting married in August 2010 in Wyoming. I’m excited to capture their day, because their love for each other is so bountiful and fun to watch.
Their love story is incredible – I hope you have heard it!
Here is their sneak peek storyboard from their engagement portraits:

Which image in their storyboard is your favorite and why?
If Heather & Julian get 20+ comments about their storyboard, they will earn a complimentary 11×14 print!
In order for the comments to count, they need to be about the images and the must be unique.
Jessica and Mike live in Chicago and New York (yup, long distance love) – so when Jessica asked me if we could have their engagement portraits at an airport, I was more than thrilled to do so.

Jessica & Mike – it was so fun capturing your love for each other at the airport.

Here’s some of my favorite images from a newborn portrait portrait session done earlier this month. Baby M was around 9 pounds when he was born – so we used some of my larger newborn props and items around his home for his session.

I love how this one brings out his eyes – and I’m proud that I crocheted the apple-green blanket (one of my props) he was on. ![]()

Haley & Dan met while they both worked at Starbucks in college. They are such a sweet, happy couple – so I was honored to capture their wedding day story.
Their ceremony and reception was at The Red Lion Restaurant in Boulder.
Here’s some of my favorite images that highlight their wedding day – a sneak peek!
Their sneak peek storyboard:

This wedding ring box was hand-crafted for Haley & Dan:

Wedding shoes (whether or not a bride is “into” shoes, what she chooses for wedding shoes totally speaks to her personality):

Haley opted for Uggs – she stayed warm the whole night! And her beautiful wedding gown is from the Blushing Bride in Windsor – which is where I purchased my wedding gown over five years ago! ![]()

Remember October 9th? It snowed — and was gorgeous! ![]()

I’m guessing Haley was thoroughly pleased with her decision to wear Uggs at this moment:

I am so thrilled to announce I achieved my goal of making the top five for Denver’s A-list, category: Best Photographer!
In fact, I received 4th place!

It’s been a long couple of months of waiting and asking for your votes, so I thank you VERY much for your support!
Without your votes, this wouldn’t be possible!
More importantly, I’m so ecstatic to hear great feedback from clients. It truly does my heart good to hear they are so happy with their experience with HL Concepts.

Baby R was born over Labor Day weekend at 6 pounds and 19 inches long, so at two weeks old, she was a fantastic model.
I went to Baby R’s house for a contemporary in-home portrait session done with all natural lighting.
Most babies sleep right through their newborn session, but Baby R was wide awake and very interested in what was going on.
Here’s some of my favorites:
This is one of the very first shots – we thought she might be dozing off… (almost)

Nope, she wanted to show off her big, beautiful, blue eyes!

Ok, I’m especially proud of this one because I made the blanket.
Pretty in pink, huh?

Her adorable little feet (they will never be this small again, not even next week!)

Showing off some spunk! ![]()

She started to get tired when we snuggled her up, but she didn’t stay asleep for more than a couple minutes:

Which one is your favorite? If you leave a comment about Baby R’s pictures, her mom can earn a 11×14 print!
BLOG PROMO: If 20+ friends and family comment on Baby R’s images (in this blog post), her mom will get a complimentary 11×14 PRINT from her newborn portrait session!

After a week of cold, rainy weather I was delighted it was a warm, sunny forecast for Sarah & Ben’s wedding day.
When I arrived at the Omni, Sarah’s beautiful bridesmaids and friends were helping her get ready.

Between all of the ladies, there was a ton of what I call “wedding carnage” – make-up and hair Heaven!

Here’s Sarah’s shoes – she spent the last month breaking them in and also got them stretched…. something I’d recommend!

Sarah’s dress is from Bea’s Bridal…

Over at Lionsgate, Sarah’s mom hung her dress up in the vintage-style bridal chamber.

I love this red phone. It’s so retro and bold.

Sarah’s mom is Greek, so they incorporated this Greek tradition called Koufetta (almonds):

The most thoughtful guest book I’ve EVER seen! EACH of their guests had their own page, with their picture on it to sign…
